One order, two transport stages
The order included indoor and outdoor furniture for personal use. With an actual loaded volume of 56 CBM, it moved in a 40HQ container for the ocean leg from China.
The delivery arrangement continued beyond port arrival. Following customs clearance in New York, the container went to a destination warehouse for devanning. The furniture then continued to Virginia on a truck equipped with a liftgate.
Why the warehouse handoff matters
In this shipment, the international container and the final delivery truck served different stages. The ocean container was not delivered sealed to the customer. Warehouse devanning connected the container leg with the final truck delivery.
